Dear Karma,
I would like to thank you one more time for the great trip you organized for us and all the extras which I appreciated it a lot. I really can recommend your agency and I think Sonam Dorji is one of the best tour guides in the country, because he knows a lot, he is very friendly, flexible and also very sportive. We did the hike up to the Tiger's Nest in 65 minutes…

Good morning Karma,
I’m really sorry, it been so long, but we have lost all our incoming mails.
We like to thank for the wonderful trip we had to Bhutan. Beforehand we were in doubt whether we should go, since the cost looked quite high and we have visited Tibet, Nepal & Sikkim before, so was it worth it? Most definitly YES!.
We enjoyed everyday fully and on the plane to Nepal we both let a tear. Our tour was very well organized and our guide Sonam Tobgyal had everyday a surprise for us. Bhutan is truly amazing and we will be back to visit other parts of Bhutan. Thank you for making this a wonderful trip even more wonderful!
Best Regards

Western and Central Bhutan.
I just came back from traveling western and central bhutan.Although my main interest was bird watching I also soaked in the history and culture of bhutan. The overall experience was ever fulfilling. My guide Karma Letho ( dhenzang travel and tours,www.trekbhutantour.com ) I found to be very experienced guide well versed in the history and the religious tradition of his country. He made every effort to make my journey pleasant and fruitful. My travel itinerary was changed according my needs. Accomodations were quite comfortable, as was the dining experience especially when we went to some of the local restaurant. Hopefully some day I will visit the eastern bhutan and I would want Karma to be my guide. may be by then he will be a better birder too.

Hello Karma,
it was really great being with you in Bhutan. Thank you so much from all of us for being such a wonderful guide, helping us to understand so much about your lovely country and the way of life, and also giving us an insight into Buddhism and life in the serene monasteries. I can quite see it needs a life time of study to truly understand your religion. Of course, when we got to India, where we much enjoyed our short stay, we had to try and understand about Hinduism. Once again, we thank you from our heart for whatever you have done for us to make our trip such a wonderful experience. We will definitely visit your beautiful country one more time and would like to request you to show us around that time too.

Dear Karma,
A few days ago I looked again at the stamp collection you so kindly gave me, and at the other souvenirs I took home from Bhutan. It reminded me of our amazing trip to the Kingdom and His Majesty's wedding. So I wanted to thank you very much again for all your help, attention and kindness towards us! Your presence added much to the experience Iva, Radim and I had! I hope you and your family are doing well!

Sange our guide was really very good. He was able to organize the easy and the difficult part of the trekking for all the clients in the group. He coordinated the entire staffs with great experience and capacity. Many thanks to Leki ( assistant guide ) for his hard work. The transportation during the trek : Horses and Yaks provided by your tour company was good as we did not have any problem during our entire snowman trek. It was always on time and the horse man and the Yak man were helpful during bad weather. The Toyota coaster buses were excellent as it was brand new and the driver Phubu was very experience, well mannered always ready to give us a helping hand if we needed one. All the hotels were very good especially the one at Trongsa - Yangkhil Resort. Restaurant meals were good everywhere. Our culture tour has been only an extension of our main trip. The best place visited has been Bumthang and Trongsa. The organization - Bhutan Dhenzang Travel & Tours ( www.trekbhutantour.com ) and the guides plus the trekking staffs has been very important for the successful completion of our snowman trek, it was organized very professionally. Our overall trekking trip experience was excellent. Thank you very much for the fantastic job! Karma, Sange, Leki and the whole team.
I will be very happy to be a reference for Bhutan Dhenzang Travel & Tours.

We enjoyed the whole process from inception to fruition with the friendly team from Bhutan Dhenzang Travel and Tours.
All of our numerous questions were obligingly & promptly answered giving us the peace of mind that we were in their capable hands. Our group was just me, my son & my wife plus our excellent guide Tshering & driver Kota.
Karma & his team proved the point that you do not need middle men- you can book directly with their office in Bhutan. We highly recommended them to everyone interested to visit Bhutan.

Our Sincere thanks to you and your outstanding staffs for a memorable trip which I will remember and cherish for the rest of my life. The whole Laya trekking group learned so much about your people, culture, your country, religion, and the magnificent mountains. We also learned to appreciate a lot about ourselves and how much we are capable of during our time of hardship and also build friend ship through such time which will last forever in our heart.
With very best wishes to you and your staffs for a prosperous and peaceful 2011.

"We had a great experience with Karma as our guide. He as very helpful, even when we missed our flight from India and had to postpone our trip by two days.
Karma is very knowledgeable about the culture and history of Bhutan and his English is very good, which made our experience that much more enjoyable."

During our 10 days Bhutan trip, Karma was our local guide. He was very helpful and went out of his way to make our trip to Bhutan a wonderful experience. We did the Jomolhari trek during that time and had a wonderful trekking experience in the Bhutan. Karma was highly knowledgeable about the Country’s history, it’s current affairs and religion. The services provided by our local guide was beyond our expectation. The trekking staffs were very helpful and co-operative. We had a very enjoyable trekking experience in beautiful Bhutan. The overall trip experience was excellent, Thanks a lot karma for everything.

I had the pleasure of meeting Karma while vacationing in Bhutan in the fall of 2004. At that time Karma was working for a different agency and we were very lucky to have Karma as our guide. Karma was a great guide. He was experienced, passionate, funny and accommodating. He tried his best to take us to places off the beaten track and to organize the trip around our interests. One afternoon, he arranged a visit to a temple that was usually closed to foreigners. He also organized a trip to a village where we stayed with a local family for a night. It was a cold night with no electricity but it was a very interesting experience. I also visited Bhutan in 2008 but did not have Karma as guide as I organized my trip through Aman. We had two different guides during our trip and they were not as knowledgable or proactive and the experience was significantly worse. Thankfully I was able to meet up with Karma during my trip for dinner and we had the opportunity to catch up but my second trip was not the same. Needless to say when I return to Bhutan I will be using Karma as a guide. Although the Aman lodges were very nice I would recommend booking a trip with Karma and then staying at some of the Aman lodges (Punakha and Gangtey were both very nice and unique) mixed with places like Uma Paro and the Taj Tashi in Thimpu for variety/better value. In summary, Karma is a great guide and person and I recommend his services without reservation.

Dear Karma,
I have have told many wonderful stories about you, made you a star of my photography book on Bhutan, recommended you to many interested travelers - and call you my friend. Now, my friend, it's time to write you the recommendation letter you deserve.
I met you in October, 2008, on a hiking trek in Bhutan. For me, this adventure was all new. New country, new to hiking at such heights and distances, new to being accompanied by a guide and staff, new to the culture and customs of a special land. You treated me as a friend and guest and endeared yourself to me in so many ways. The whole trip became a conversation with you, a challenge with the elements and a surprise around every corner – all of which I looked forward to every day. I so appreciated how you educated me every step of the way. There were plenty of days I asked myself what I was doing at 12,000 feet in Bhutan – away from home, cold, and unsure of what the day would bring. But there you were, ready to take me to a new place, talk with me, teach me, trek with me.
You shared your home, your friends, your special places, your side trips and short cuts. We had such enjoyable conversations during our meals that they became a highlight of the day. You and your crew customized the experience for me in every way as we got to know each other. I will never forget ‘Bhutan Idol’, visiting your family, morning tea, Tiger’s Nest, the workers, markets, luxury resorts, tents, Yaks and yak herders, rivers, rice fields, monks and monasteries, celebrations, and simply spectacular fresh air, blue skies, stunning terrain. And you, Karma, my guide.
Thank you for making the Bhutan experience deeper and more special for me. And, for your friendship.
Your friend,
Brad Trom,

Dear Karma,
that was such a spectacular trip to Phobjika, I can't thank you enough for taking your time and sharing such a wonderful event with us. I
bet your pictures came out great as well! I also wanted to thank-you for your kind offer for the hotel in Paro, but I got offered a room at Zhiwa Ling, so didn't want to bother you again. I truly appreciate your generosity.
Hope to see you and your wife at Ben's surprise birthday party!
Thanks again for everything,

Karma Letho our tour guide was excellent. Karma was very considerate of our every needs. Attentive, patient, spoke excellent English and had a very good knowledge of Bhutan and Buddhist philosophy. We were personally touched when he invited us to his home for dinner. The transportation provided by the local company was very good. It was a 7 seater Toyota mini van in excellent condition. Our driver Nidup was brilliant. He was very considerate and skillful and safe driver on a difficult roads. Hotel Kichu was most beautiful setting, Thrishung villa in Paro provided most personal service and both excellent. Dragon Roots was more basic, very convenient to town but not as nice as the others. The convenience to town was a great plus; facilities and restaurant very acceptable. Meals are very good at most of the restaurants. Some of the group did not like spicy food and this preference was happily met by karma. Our Overall impression of itinerary was excellent. We saw all the main sites during our 6 days trip. The windy roads are a bit uncomfortable for passangers but a carefull driver and frequent stops made the journeys easier. Karma was able to accommodate the group’s requests very skillfully.
Bhutan was an amazing experience. The people exhibit a peaceful attitude. The Tiger’s Nest Monastery ( Taktshang ) was awe inspiring- a mystical experience.
Karma was one of the best guide we have ever met. Very well organized in the united States and in Bhutan.

The service provided by our guide Karma Letho was excellent. Extremely knowledgable and enthusiastic in taking us around. He was flexible around our preferences. We felt like we got access to and saw things that maybe other tourists didn’t. Clearly passionate about his job. We really appreciate and benefitted from that. Kinley our driver was excellent and a very safe driver. He was very pleasant and always courteous. Uma Paro good value for money for 5 star hotel. Meals at Uma Paro were excellent but not a big vegetarian choice and friendly staff. Taj Tashi good location, polite services, not as personal as the other hotels as much larger. Quality of the food not so good. A lot of variety but not that tasty. At Amanresort perfect services but very expensive. Food at Amanresort was excellent, good vegetarian selection, lots of choice.
Our Itinerary was very well planned. Didn’t feel like we missed anything while still managing to have a relaxed trip.
We could really enjoy and relax on the trip knowing that we were in safe hands and that every details was taken care of. From the flight to hotels to tours to restaurants to hikes- We did not have to worry about a thing. Fantastic services! Overall trip experience was excellent. We would definitely recommend it .

Karma Letho was In a word EXTRAORDINARY. Karma went out of his way to always see that I was seeing what I wanted – while at the same time he made sure I did not miss anything he knew would interest me. Our driver karma was Excellent and all driving was made into comfortable opportunities to really “see” Bhutan. Pelri Cottages were certainly sufficient.Dragon Roots was “ first class “ in spite of no water the last night. Staying at the farm house was a great experience! I saw and attended everything on my “checklist” and karma Letho made sure I did not miss anything that I would not previously put on the list.
Traveling with my new friend Karma ( guide ) allowed me to really get as close as I possibly could to what today in Bhutan is really all about. I would most definitely be a reference to Bhutan Dhenzang travel and if you have any questions please feel free to ask me.

On time, got us where we were supposed to be. Explained things well, Answered questions, very knowledgable about Bhutan and Buddhism. Helpful with India arrangements, appreciate very much getting the pictures by mail. Our driver Prem was very good in driving all the curves from Paro to Bumthang and back. He was very helpful and considerate- tried to get our burned out converter fixed. Good driver, Always where he should be and very careful about his driving. Hotels very variable at different places. Hotels were generally noisy – dogs barking outside and poorly insulated for sound. Some were better the Yangkhil in Trongsa and the one between the river and hill ( Kichu ) were good.
Generally food was good.

Karma Letho was the tour guide during my wonderful trip to beautiful Bhutan. Karma was outstanding and excellent guide! He was exceptionally knowledgeable – not only about Buddhism, Bhutanese history and information about the dzongs, but also birds, wildlife, and plants. He was friendly, helpful and helped to get me nicer rooms several times. He was good planner, checking for and avoiding potential problems. He is the BEST!!!
The highlights of my trip were actually at the beginning, the Paro festival, with the traditional dancing, everyone dressed in their traditional finery, the monk’s procession, and the great Thongdrel. Also watching archery in the field at Thimphu, the men were using traditional bows and their aim, despite the wind was superb. I loved to watch them celebrate a good shot with the waha! Waha! dance
